This project was completed for a large private residence with multiple structural challenges across roof slabs, balconies, and a full basement.
Unlike simple waterproofing jobs, this site required a layered approach. Each surface required a different process: large flat roof slabs exposed to weather, suspended balconies with varying sizes, and below-ground walls under constant moisture pressure.
The solution combined torch-on waterproofing Sandton, balcony waterproofing Sandton, and wall tanking Sandton into one coordinated system.
The roof slabs formed the largest exposed area and were critical to the success of the roof waterproofing system. Work started with preparation:
Once prepared, the team installed a full torch-on waterproofing Sandton membrane across the slabs. A silver UV-resistant coating was then applied to protect the system from heat and weather exposure.

The balconies required more precision than the roof.
Five smaller balconies (5–16m²) were treated using a Hypercrete system, suited for tighter spaces and lighter exposure. The main balcony, significantly larger at around 100–120m², required a more aggressive solution:

The basement introduced a different problem: constant ground pressure and water movement. The process started with full excavation down to foundation level. This exposed the walls and allowed proper installation of a wall tanking Sandton system.
